The Auburn Alumni Game held Thursday was a big hit. Lots of soreness the following day but a lot of fun for everyone. Thanks to all who participated.
It was 50 years ago when the class of 1965 left Auburn High School to conquer the world! It was Saturday night, October 10th when they reunited for this special year. They invited the class of 1966 to join them at Auburn Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall with for a potluck meal and reminiscing. Members of the 1965 grads who attended were Betty (Patrick) and Terry Thomas, JoAnn (Ferrell) and Joe Francis, Paulette (Crook) and James Marshall Gilley, Jimmy Mingle and Millie King, and Bobby and Nelda Pitts. Those from 1966 were J.C and Joan Hughes, Joann (Jones) and Wendall Tate, Jann (Kennedy) Jones, Lynn and Kathy O'neal and Janice (Vance) and Charles Ritchey. Of course, it's not a real school reunion without Mrs. Bess Finley who came with her son, Mac.

Their hearts were heavy due to loosing another one of their classmates on Friday. Our thoughts and prayers to Dwight Saddler, Eric and Jared Saddler on the sudden loss of wife and mother, Katherine Saddler.

Well as noted by those above, time sure does pass quickly when you're having fun and it's been 9 weeks since school began so here are the honor students:

On the Principal List are Lily Crook, Lily Hughes, Kyleigh McCoy, Alana Stansbury, Henry Williams, Lacie Arnolds, Keely Brandon, Caleb Powers, Olivia Robbins, Garrett Goff, Kiley Hughes, Hannah Junker, Sharon Bessant, Baleigh Fulkerson, Anna Leach, Dylan Avera, LuLu Maier and Adrianna Reed.
Making the Honor Roll are Emma Crook, McCarlee Eubank, Carter Hancock, Nathan Junker, Emily Whited, Ben Brown, Makayla Taylor, Caitlyn Crook, Lauryn Crawley, Katelyn Duggin, Shelby Parker, Hunter Patterson, Madison Gaither, Daysha Murry, Mary Beth Patterson and Kaylee Rusnock.
The Merit List has Mikyla Blair, James Hancock, Bailey Campbell, Lindsey Campbell, Hunter Eidson, Cade Emberton, Dixie Garrison, Allen Leach, Maleeya Murry, Nevaeh White, Jada Bobo, Leighanne Dodd, Alana Rusnock, Alex Williams, Ryan Scott, Daisy Taylor, Jade Blair, Carly Brown, Ethen Powers, Anna Williams, Alyssa Avera, Katie Hancock and Destiny Wood.

Adding a year to their age this week are Clay Shirley, J.T. Brown and Andy Higgins on the 21st. Tom Ganoe, Savannah Gunter, and Cindy Garrison add theirs the 22nd. It's Marna Higgins and Johnny Kennedy, II for the 23rd. Donna Gunter gets another year on the 24th. The 25th sees Betsy Leach celebrating another year. Lynne Jackson has her year on the 26th and Paula Saddler winds up the week on the 27th. Happy birthday to each of you.
Eddie and Donna Nichols celebrate an anniversary on the 25th. Happy anniversary to you two.
