Prayers are needed for Teddy Powers who was air lifted Wednesday to Vanderbilt for and (at this time) unknown problem(s). It doesn't look promising.

P-pa spent another weekend in the hospital going in Friday night and coming out Monday morning. We are so thankful for family and friends who seek healing for him. He is doing much better.

We're glad to know that my brother, Richard Harris, is home in Macon to return to Emory in Atlanta on Monday for neurosurgical consultations.

Defeated Creek Campgrounds was full of Francis' and Duggins recently. The Francis' and their connections were John, Kim and Callie Francis, Jennifer Francis, Londyn and Brooklyn, Waylon and Allison Francis, John, Angie, Hannah and Justin Whited, Ethan Bryson and Kayla Fortner. Of the Duggin group were David Duggin, Mark, Kendall and Katelyn Duggin, and Lorri Jakes, Briar and Luke. They had a great time swimming in the lake, playing corn hole, eating and just plain ole relaxin'.

It was off to Jekyll Island - Atlantic Ocean for Ernest and Rita Davis, Hannah Whited and Megan Davis. They enjoyed relaxing on the beach, The Driftwood Bistro, Dolphin Tour at Sunset and of course, good food.

Well kiddos how many of you are looking forward to tomorrow - school registration!! Wow, the summer sure has flown by.

To celebrate the ending of summer and beginning of a new school year, the Reed girls (Alayna and Adrianna) hosted a swimming party Monday. Enjoying their time were Rachel Dorris, Janna Womack, Joey and Culyer Isenhart, Lauren Crawley, Baileigh Fulkerson, and William and Grant Buterbaugh.

Congratulations to Rachel Dorris on winning the big blue for She Mo' Rowdy at the 2014 International Weanling Filly and Youth Division of the Walking Horse Owners Association Show.

Also congratulations to Todd Turney who was recently promoted to Manager of Emerging Technology for Verizon.
Sunday was a very special day at Prosperity Baptist Church. First there was a baptismal ordinance. Zoi Hale and Emily Satterfield were the candidates.

Next, Betty Jane Barrett and Linda Clemons accepted a special plaque in memory of their mother, Mrs. Lottie Cook. This was given by the Women's Prayer Cross Ministry for which Mrs. Lottie had made innumerable crosses to pass along to those who needed prayer.
