What a great way to end your Senior year from high school. Bringing home the big trophy for first place in the National Beta (that's NATIONAL, folks) Talent Show were the Sr. Bets of CCHS. No it wasn't just seniors with the talent who were involved but it sure does make for a grand ending of their high school years as they traveled to Richmond, VA and with the help of the "undergrads" they topped out in the talent - FIRST TIME EVER! Congratulations.

And it's congratulations to Amelia Higgins who showed the Grand Champion Chiangus Female and Champion Bred and Owned with HIGG Annie Oakley 331A. It was the National Jr Show held recently in Louisville, KY
Then there are congratulations to Katie Dunn who became Mrs. Darby Palmer in a beautiful ceremony performed by dad, David Dunn. The event was held Saturday at the Houston Station in Nashville.

A native of this community, Mary Jones Kelly, showed her powers last week in the Tennessee Senior Olympics when she came away with 4 golds to hang around her neck - one each in hammer, discus, shot put and javelin. Congratulations Mary. Now it's on to the Nationals in Minnesota.

Friday night was a special treat for Tim, DeAnna, Alayna and Adrianna Reed when they were treated to a home cooked meal at the newlyweds' (Janna and Ryan Womack) home. They enjoyed some fun times after the meal.
Saturday night, P-pa, me and grandson, Kullon Patrick, were treated to a home cooked meal at Sam, Bethany, Rylan and Amaieah Morrison's. Of course, we went with 1 boy and brought back 2! Both spent the night with the Reeds.

But for Bobby and Brenda Francis and Terry and Betty Thomas it wasn't a complete loss when they pulled in at Harper's Catfish in Scottsville, KY to enjoy their "all you can eat" catfish.
