Our sympathy to Jackson Hays on the death of his brother, James (Jimmy) Hays who passed away following a battle with cancer.

Lots of people enjoyed "mini-vacations" during Spring Break.

Stefanie Gaither, Samantha and Madison and Brad Leach flew to New York, NY for a few days and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Broadway.

Bridgett Dodd and Keely, Brenda Dodd and Leighanne Dodd attended the Southern Women's Show held in Nashville. While there they also enjoyed the Nashville Zoo and eating at Chuck E. Cheese.

Thursday night Bridgett and Keely with cousin Tiffany Dodd watched the Predators beat Buffalo.
Susan Blair, Ricky, Mikyla and McKenzie toured the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL.
Saturday was raining and cold but it did not deter Janna Reed, C.J. Hughes and Kiley, Reagan Vaughn, Jennifer Duggin, Danielle Howell, Vicki Bryson and Will Bailey from taking part in the 5K "The Color Run" which was held in Nashville.

Charles, Tracy, Mary Beth and Hunter Patterson took a day to visit Fall Creek Falls where they walked down to the bottom.

It was off to Bridgestone Arena Monday night the 31st for Kim Davis, Megan Davis and Angie Whited where they attended the Cher Concert and saw her float over the crowd during a song.

A baby shower was held Saturday afternoon at Prosperity Baptist Church for little Miss Gracie Lynne Smith who is to arrive in May. Mom, Lori Jackson Smith, unwrapped many nice, useful gifts.

Yes Saturday was cold and brutal with rain and wind but our auction was well attended and we want to thank each of you who came and supported us during this time. P-pa and I have been farmers and doing hay for the public for many years (he longer than me) so it was with mixed emotions as we watched our equipment sale. Thanks to John Higgins and his "staff" for a job well done even though he did take a pretty good fall in the mud!

Also Adrianna Reed gives a big THANK YOU who supported her "booth" during the sale. She (and her parents) were thrilled with the amount she raised to help her with expenses to the Beta Convention to be held in Virginia in June.
It's here - the Jr. Beta Club fundraiser. They are making plans to carry their new state secretary, (our own, Mackenzie Turney) and their first place skit to Richmond, VA in June. So make plans now to help them with their expenses and you can enjoy a delicious meal without cooking it yourself or cleaning up afterwards.

The menu is chicken fried chicken and gravy with choice of 3 vegetables: mashed potatoes, corn, fried squash, or green beans. Roll, dessert and drink are included in the $8.00/adult, $5.00/ages 4-10 and free to 3 and under meal. Date is Thursday, April 10th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Place is the Auburn Community Center. If you can't sit down to eat with us then be sure to get yours as a carry out.

April 9th Michael Nichols, David Dunn, twins Jerry Bryan and Geraldine Farless and Ronnie Blake Gandy begin our birthday list. The 10th is just as busy with Brenda Davenport, Katelyn Duggin, Taylor Brooke Melton and Hunter Eidson all celebrating. David Gaither and Tina Fletcher get their cake and ice cream on the 11th. Skipping to the 13th is when Roy Pruitt, Rachel Prudance Gaither, Matt Hardy and Callie Francis put another year away. Deborah Shehan and Elaine Mingle have the same birthdays (different years) on the 14th while Charles Dickey Vantrease and Sadie Grace Hackett wind up our list on the 15th. Happy birthday to all of you.
Happy anniversary to Randy and Theresa Morris on the 15th.
