Our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Shirley Knox McKnight who lost her long fought battle with cancer; however, she has won the war.

It's good to see Robert Fletcher at home and doing better but still in need of prayers as is wife, Tina, who is struggling to become his "nurse".

Although she isn't in the hospital, Beverly Bryan is very sick with a kidney infection. She is steadily improving so "get well quick, Bev."

Last Tuesday, one Patrick was discharged from Stones River as another Patrick was admitted. Yes, P-pa rushed back to the hospital Thursday night the 16th with the complication of pneumonia to go along with his other issues. The day he was discharged was the day brother, Frank, came in to get some relief of his badly swollen and infected leg. By the time this is read, he will be home.

Again, thanks for your prayers, calls, visits, cards, etc. Each was truly appreciated.

Following the game with Westside Saturday the 18th, Coach Tim Reed was pleasantly surprised with cupcakes for his birthday which was the same day.

Sunday the 19th was a good day for a reunion and that's just what went on at the home of Bobby and Brenda Francis as his brothers, sisters and their families arrived to enjoy the good food and catching up on family "affairs".
Auburn Elementary selected superlatives. Bradly Vickers was selected as Mr. Auburn and MaLeah Scott is Miss Auburn. Prettiest Girl is Ashley Ritter with Most Handsome Boy Michael Watson. Most Popular girl and boy are Callie Francis and Taylor Gaither, respectively. Friendliest are Katherine Russo and Brad Ward. Mackenzie Turney received Best All Around girl and Logan Young the counterpart. Most Like to Succeed are Corinne Fann and Noah Barnes. Janie Watson received Most Improved girl with Dale Thompson getting it for the boys. Janie was also voted the Class Wit Girl and Tyler Cagle the Class Wit Boy. Most Studious are Hattie Fann and Colton Richardson. Shelby Seamons and Jeffrey Rusnock are Most Accomadating. Rounding out the superlatives are Most Athletic and MaLeah Scott and Austin Duggin received those honors.

Celebrating birthdays this week are Maxine Gaither and Frank Patrick on the 29th. Scott Thompson has his the 30th. Michelle James ends the month with her celebration.Opening up the month of February are Milton Gaither and David Tate. Bryan James and K.C. Hale celebrate birthday with Groundhog Day. Ronnie Todd ends the week's worth of wishes on the 3rd. Happy birthday to all of you.

No anniversaries in my "little black book" so ya'll have a good week.
