The Lady Knights enjoyed a Pizza and Chocolate Fountain Christmas Party Friday night at the home of their coaches, Tim and DeAnna Reed. Attending were MaLeah Scott, Hatti and Corinne Fann, Madison Gaither, Katie Hancock, Katelyn Duggin, Alyssa Williams, Mary Beth Patterson, Lauryn Crawley, Shelby Parker, Carley Brown, Baleigh Fulkerson and Anna Williams oh, and Adrianna Reed.

Christmas at our house began Saturday when my brother, Richard and Barbara Harris of Macon, GA, their son, Todd Harris and Michael and Katelyn from Gray, GA, and their daughter, Lori Jackson and Taylor, Graham and Blake from Atlanta, GA came up for an overnight stay.

Enjoying the visit and meal with them and us were Sam, Bethany, Rylan and Amaieah Morrison, Kyle, Shannon and Kullon Patrick, Ray and Anita Patrick, Tim, DeAnna, Janna, Alayna, and Adrianna Reed, Ryan Womack and Case Isenhart.

Christmas Eve our guests were Mark and Karen Stinnett, Robbie Owen, Terry and Betty Thomas, Stefanie Gaither, Brad Leach, Patrick Thomas and Cloudio (both of whom were visiting the Thomases for the holidays). Arriving later were the Reeds and Samantha and Madison Gaither.

Christmas Day morning was our usual ham breakfast fixin's for all of our children and families complete with opening presents. Coming in later for "game-playing time" were Ryan Womack and Case Isenhart

Betty and Terry Thomas were back in Cedar Grove over the weekend to attend the annual "Barn Party" hosted by son, Patrick, and Howard Hamilton and family. The party was cut short due to the threat of tornadoes but they still had a good time.

Ashley Hayes of Chicago, IL, flew in to spend the holidays with parents, Phillip and Linda Hayes. She came by our house Sunday for a visit.

It was a beautiful Christmas wedding Saturday, the 21st and that's when Cody Hughes and Kayla Wimberly became one at Auburn Baptist Church. Officiating was Bro. Jerry Osborne. Congratulations!

We could tell Gordon and Nell Summar hosted their girls and family as Gordon had pulled his car out from under the car port as he usually does to accommodate the family.

Jim and Donna Sherrill were the Christmas Day dinner hosts for Robbie Owen, Michelle James, Brian James and Candace Myers.

Ruth and Marvin Davenport hosted a Christmas Eve supper for Mitchell and Veronica Davenport who were visiting from Birmingham, AL, Curtis and Kathy Davenport, Teresa Davenport and James Paul and Kristen Davenport.
Thursday night it was over to Robbie Owen's for Ruth and Marvin Davenport and P-pa and me. Afterward a good meal, we all went out to Frank Patrick's to visit with him.

Wow, here it is - 2014 already and celebrating the New Year with a birthday are Stay Baines, Doug Gaither, James Paul Davenport and Kathy Hays. Joey Reed has one the 3rd. On the 5th Ann Whitaker Thompson and Erica Melton begin their new year. Amy Reed winds up this week's birthday wishes when she celebrates the 6th. Happy birthday you all.

It's an anniversary for Brian and Terri Jackson on the first day of 2014. On the 7th day back in 1984 John Higgins took as his bride, Marna Hays. Happy anniversary to both couples. May you celebrate many more.
