On the afternoon of Sunday, the 10th, Forrest Mills Baptist Church was filled with over 200 family and friends to congratulate Ruth Davenport on living with hubby Marvin for 60 years! She was awarded a crown and wand while Marvin was awarded a Joker's cap. It was a beautiful day for a wonderful couple.

This Juicy tale came via email from Milan Davenport and is in his own words:  I was coming home from McMinnville when something went wrong with my car engine and it would just barely run. I stopped in Woodbury where Bud Cooper (Bunt's brother) was working in a service station/garage. He thought the front cylinder was probably busted. I managed to get it to Bunt's garage so Juicy could check it out. When he pulled the valve cover off, the problem wasn't the front cylinder, but the back one. The bolt that held the aircleaner on the carburtor had broken and somehow a very small piece of it had gotten into the valve area and chewed all the valves up...big mess! Juicy was working from the left side of the car, and I was standing at the right-rear of the car so I could see him and hear what he had to say. (He didn't know I was there.) After an inspection of the problem he said, " 'pears to me like the deude (dude) has been roaming around amongst 'em."
