The Monster of Hayden's Ridge is the second book by local author Billy Plant. In this offering Plant draws on his previous experience as a land surveyor and his current occupation as a consulting utility forester (work which carries him throughout the surrounding area, including Cannon County) to paint a picture of the Tennessee countryside and examine the challenges of people living in rural areas. Plant and his wife are part of a bluegrass quintet called the Accidental Trio. His previous book, A Guide to Cedar Glades and Common Appalachian Wildflowers was distributed by the University of Tennessee Press.

The White Oak Craft & Gift Shop features craft and fine artists from Middle Tennessee. From wood to clay, iron to textiles, note cards to paintings, jewelry to books, you can find an ever changing array of gift, decorative, and collectible items.

As another "local author" I'm bringing my newest book: "Music City: Talent Behind The Stars" to the awesome upcoming White Oak Craft Fair in September. Thanks for the invitation to showcase my book.
