WPD Makes Arrests For Drug Possession



• Jeffrey Davis, 176 Bullpen Rd., Woodbury, was charged with assault and simple possession of a Schedule VI drug on April 7 by Woodbury Patrolman John Fesmire. During a traffic stop on McFerrin St., Davis was found to be in possession of a bag of marijuana. It was found during a consensual search and was hidden on one of Davis’ shoes. In the process of being arrested, Davis physically pulled away from Ptl. Fesmire and also made an attempt to turn around on the officer, which caused Ptl. Fesmire to believe he was about to be assaulted. Bond was set at $3,000. Initial court date is May 17.

• Jim Alan Morris, 200 Shasteen St., Lot CB2-1 Lot 17, Estill Springs, was charged with possession of a Schedule VI drug with intent to deliver, distribute or resell, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license on April 5 by Woodbury Patrolman Chris Brown following a traffic stop on S. McCrary St. Bond was set at $9,700. Initial court date is May 10.

• Jennifer Marlene Elkins, 314 Sunny Slope Rd., Woodbury, was charged with simple possession of a Schedule VI drug and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 8 by Woodbury Patrolman John Fesmire. Elkins was found to be in possession of a bag of marijuana, a glass marijuana pipe and a grinder during a consensual search. Bond was set at $1,000. Initial court date is May 17.

• Ricky Lynn Weaver, Sr., 26413 Grady Lane, Ardmore, AL, was charged with driving on a suspended license and violation of the financial law on April 7 by Woodbury Asst. Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham following a traffic stop on W. Adams St. Bond was set at $1,000. Initial court date is May 10.

• Kevin Daniel Suits, 122 Fairfax Ave., Murfreesboro, was charged with disorderly conduct and driving on a suspended license on April 6 by Woodbury Police Sgt. John House following a traffic stop on McMinnville Hwy. Bond was set at $1,000. Initial court date is May 10.

• Christopher Lee McMahan, 4138 Cranor Rd., Murfreesboro, was served warrants on April 6 for charges filed against him by the Woodbury Police Dept. on Jan. 31. McMahan was charged by WPD Sgt. John House with habitual motor vehicle offender, evading arrest with a motor vehicle, failure to obey a traffic control device driving an unregistered, illegally tagged vehicle. Bond was set at $6,500. Initial court date is June 14.

• Timmy Hershell Wilson, 1710 Yager Rd., McMinnville, was charged with violation of a bond condition for domestic violence on April 6 by Woodbury Patrolman Chris Brown. Wilson was stopped in the driveway of a residence on 117-A McBroom St. and had in the vehicle with him the victim of a domestic assault case in which Wilson is the defendant. Bond was set at $500. Initial court date is May 10.

• Steven Cyle Medley, 117-A McBroom St., Woodbury, was charged with failure to make immediate notification of an accident on April 7 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Lawrence Avera. On April 6, Medley was allegedly operating a motor vehicle on Doolittle Rd. when he lost control and the vehicle flipped over on its top, resulting in major damage, blocking one lane of traffic, and causing a traffic hazard. Medley then walked to a nearby house and called Tim Wilson to come pick him and his two passengers up and drive them to 117-A McBroom St. Initial court date is May 3.

• Christina Ann Burks, 1112 Earl Ave., Smithville, was charged with speeding (70/55) and violation of the financial responsibility law by Deputy Travis Turney on April 9 following a traffic stop on Poplar Bluff Rd. Initial court date is June 28.

• Cannon County Sheriff’s deputies went to 9659 Short Mountain Rd. on April 8 and took Matthew D. Griffith. He was transported to the Cannon County Jail and served arrest warrants for violation of probation, an order or protection and a criminal summons, the latter two out of DeKalb County.

• Shannon Lee Blythe, 134 Cherokee Trail, Bradyville, was charged with violation of the financial responsibility law on April 8 by Deputy Travis Turney following a traffic stop on Hollow Springs Rd. Initial court date is June 28.

• Dominick Luke Amari, 509 Double Branch Rd., Dickson, was charged with underage possession of alcohol by Woodbury Asst. Police Chief Kevin Mooneyham following a traffic stop on Gassaway Rd. in April 9. After consent was granted by Amari to search his vehicle, Asst. Chief Mooneyham found a bottle of Kentucky Deluxe Whiskey. Amari admitted the whiskey was his. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is May 10.
