Woodbury woman killed in Manchester crash

MANCHESTER - A Woodbury woman was killed in a two-car crash Monday afternoon on State Route 53 in Manchester.

According to a report by Tennessee Highway Patrol officer Dallas Lange, a 2010 Toyota Corolla operated by an unidentified juvenile of Woodbury was traveling southbound on State Route 53 when he crossed over the center line and struck a 2007 Chevrolet Equibox operated by Patricia G. Lloyd, 54, of Woodbury, head on.

It happened on State Highway 53 just before 5 p.m.

The Lloyd vehicle then spun off the roadway and came to rest near a wooded area. She was transported to Unity Medical Center, where she later was pronounced dead.

According to a spokesperson for the THP, they do not release the names of juveniles when charges are pending in an accident.

The juvenile was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of his injuries. No information was available on the extent of the teen's injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
