Following are the latest arrest and incident reports as filed by the Woodbury Police Department and the Cannon County Sheriff Department. Readers are advised that an allegation or report of a crime does not necessarily constitute a crime, or that one took place. All persons accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Woodbury Police Incidents Reports for 02.10.2010
02.02.2010 — Officer Tracey Stoetzel was dispatched to 205 Lee Ave. responding to a vandalism call. There Jeanette Deleon was waiting by her 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a broken front window. Ms. Deleon reported that he purse was missing which contained credit cards, banks accounts, birth cert., etc. A laptop, GPS, and blackberry were in the car at the time of the burglary but were left. Ms. Deleon arrived home at 10 P.M. the previous night and noticed the broken window around 6 A.M. the next morning.
02.02.2010 — A string of likely connected burglaries occurred including a Chevy Tahoe being broken into at 302 Houston Lane, a heater stolen from a 207 Kimela Drive sunroom, and a Yukon being broken into at 174 Maple. Dr.
02.02.2010 — A Chevy Tahoe was broken into at 101 Pin Oak Dr. Emily Calamia reported that things were missing from her wallet and her son's Nintendo and games was taken.
02.03.2010 — A fire chest containing guns and important documents was stolen from Roy Nichols at 511 Bryant Lane.
02.03.2010 — Someone cut all four of Sherry Reed's tires at S. Ridge Dr.
02.04.2010 — Bridgette Shyane Johnson was charged with operating a motor vehicle without license.
02.05.2010 — Daniel Rainey was charged with driving on a revoked license.
02.05.2010 — Joshua Lee Underwood was charged with public intoxication and vandalism after damaging the real or personal property of Roxanne Miller.
02.07.2010 — Ms. Peggy Jo Markum was bitten by a dog outside her East High St. Apartment.
02.07.2010 — Stanley Allen Brooks was charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, and violating implied consent after attempting to evade Sgt. Mooneyham's police cruiser via backstreets.
02.07.2010 — Aaron V. Moon was driving 64 in a 30 MPH zone and after officers signaled him to pull over, he attempted to evade. When the vehicle finally stopped, Moon attempted to escape on foot. In addition to speeding, Moon was charged with evading arrest and driving on a revoked license 5th offense.
02.09.2010 — Asst. Chief Darrell Young responded to a tool box theft at the USDA Office. The box was a truck type in back of a 2006 Checy Truck. It looked to have been unscrewed without damage. The box is an aluminum type with diamond design and may have a TSC logo or tag on it.
02.09.2010 — Christopher A. Turley was charged with harassment after making a number of phone calls without legitimate purpose to Shelley Matthews.
02.09.2010 — Tracey Leigh Vashist was charged with driving under the influence and lack of financial responsibility after Sgt. Kevin Mooneyham observed him running off W. Adams street twice.
Cannon County Sheriff's Incident Reports for 02.10.2010
02.01.2010 — Dep. Anthony Young served a warrant on Shawn Kronnick for violation of probation after Mr. Kronnick turned himself in.
02.02.2010 — Dep. Randy Neal took a report at the CCSO from Thomas Keller regarding damage to his truck that occurred at his home while the roads were icy on 01.29.2010.
02.02.2010 — Marijo Martinez served a warrant on Kimberly L. Thomas for Violation of probation int he booking room of the CCSO without incident.
02.02.2010 — Deputy Steve McMillen took a theft report at 401 Orville Road from Johnathan Pewitt. Pewitt reported that someone had pushed in his window A/C unit and taken numerous video games and systems, cash, and jewelry from his home.
02.04.2010 — Deputy Patrick Fann responded to a burglary at 35 Murther Hollis Lane. There Mr. Shannon Herman reported that someone had taken his Dewalt cordless drill, an extra battery, and the drill bits. A back window was slightly open to allow an extension cord through and this is where Mr. Herman suspects entry was made.
02.04.2010 — Amy Tribble was charged with DUI and violation of implied consent.
02.04.2010 — A lead was developed by Detectives Walker and Wilder in an ongoing case regarding jewelry stolen from Melanie Henderson back in December. The new lead brought detectives to Granny's Goldmine and K& M Jewelry in Smithville where it was confirmed that shop owners had purchased Mrs. Henderson's jewelry from a Jacob Tramel. A warrant was issued for Mr. Tramel on 02.08.2010.
02.05.2010 — Marijo Martinez served a warrant on Brian N. Wells for violation of probation at the CCSO without incident.
02.05.2010 — Deputy Brandon Mimms responded to a one vehicle accident at 7364 Hollow Springs Rd. There Eugenia Keasley reported that she'd ran off the road on her way home. She was cited with no registration, no insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, and display of wrong plates after dispatch reported the tag belonged to a different vehicle. Mrs. Keasley was advised that the vehicle could not be back on the road until properly registered, insured, and tagged.
02.05.2010 — Deputy Brandon Gullett responded to a stolen vehicle complaint at 3907 Dickens Road. There Mary Smotherman reported that her son Randall Smitherman had taken her vehicle. She did not wish to press charges but just wanted her vehicle back safely. Randall had been bugging her for one of her pills but she wouldn't give him one. Randall then said he had a warrant for violation of probation and was going to a neighbor's house. He took the car without permission. Later that day Dep. Gullet returned to 3907 Dickens Road because Randall had returned. He was placed under arrest for vioaltion of probation. Dep. Gullett asked Randall if he had taken the car to which he replied that he'd been in the woods talking to a man about a dog.
02.05.2010 — Albert Summers served a warrant on Michael Ray Blalock in the CCSO booking room for failure to appear.
02.06.2010 — Deputy Brandon Gullett was dispatched to Pea Ridge Rd. for an overturned vehicle. James Addison Boyle's vehicle had overturned in a field belonging to Robert Bogle. The vehicle was not in the road and the men planned to get it out with Mr. Bogle's tractor the next morning. No severe damage was caused to the vehicle.
02.06.2010 — Deputy Brandon Gullett was dispatched to Burt Road for a motor vehicle accident. There a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am had ran off the road after missing a curve. The vehicle did not yet have tags on it as it was purchased about 30 min earlier. The operator, Jeremy Thomas, called his friend Duggie Davis to try to get it back on the road but eventually Pelham's was called. Dep. Gullett advised Thomas to keep the vehicle off the road until it had tags.
02.07.2010 — Deputy Steve McMillen served a warrant on Daniel Ray Rainey for violation of probation at the CCSO.
02.07.2010 — Deputy Steve McMillen responded to a civil dispute at 8615 Short Mountain Road where David Goff stated that his landlord had given him three days to leave the property he was renting. No eviction notice had been served on him. Mr. Goff was advised this was a civil issue and to seek legal counsel.
02.07.2010 — Deputy Eric Moss noticed a car off the road on Murfreesboro Road. Two people were looking at it, Jackie Gibson and Tammy White. Between 6 P.M. and 7:15 P.M. the previous night the car was taken and a friend had spotted it in the ditch and called around 5:15 A.M.. The Vehicle had run off the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle owners were advised to file a stolen vehicle report at the WPD.
