Winfred Dean Bell, age 92, formerly of Woodbury and Maryville TN, passed away at home in Jefferson, LA on Thursday, August 26, 2010.

Dean was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a WWII veteran serving in the Pacific Theater with the 35th Naval Construction Battalion and retired from the Tennessee Cheese Company in Woodbury TN.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Proffitt Bell, son and daughter-in-law, Marlon Dean Bell and Beth Tate Bell, grandchildren, James Michael Bell and Emily Elizabeth Bell all of Luling LA. Å@He is also survived by sisters Katherine Austin, Mary Margaret Burnett, Carolyn Burnett and a host of nieces and nephews from Morristown TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Preston Bell and Ruth Neil Williams, brothers James Zirkle Bell and William Preston Bell, Jr.

Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Maryville, TN.
