William Samuel Lee, III, age 86, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at Woodbury Health Care Center.  He was born in Chattanooga, TN. and was raised in Orangeburg, SC and St. Petersburg, Fl.
 
He is survived by daughters, Linda Lee (Charles) Fulmer of Seattle, WA., Laura Lee of Murfreesboro, Janet Lee (John) Loder of Redmond, WA., Jennifer Lee (Teddy) Young of Woodbury; grandchildren, Anna Watermen of Painsville, OH., Aimee Marks of Lebanon and Andrew J. Young of Woodbury; great grandchildren, Wyatt & Vivien Marks; Sister, Mary Ann Bishop, Ft. Walton Beach, Fl.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Donna Marie Peters Lee and parents, Robert Edward Lee and Sara Wilkes Lee.
 
Mr. Lee was a retired salesman of USG and sold much of the material for building many major Tennessee landmarks. including the Grand Ole Opry, Opryland, TPAC, GEC and St. Thomas hospital.  He served in the Coast Guard during World War II from the North Atlantic to South America.  He was a Grand Mason, Knights Templar and Shriner.  He was affiliated with the Baptist Church. 
 
A private memorial service will be held in Charleston, SC.
