Whyte Holt

Whyte Holt, 102, of Woodbury passed away Monday, Jan. 06, 2014 at the Woodbury Nursing Center.  A native of the Burt Community in Cannon Co., she was the daughter of the late Oscar & Annie Cummings Davis.   

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Joe) Behrent of Puyallup, WA., her son, Ronnie Holt of Midway, GA.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Holt; Son, Ralph Holt, daughter-in-law, Cynthia Holt and siblings, Bessie Haley, Ernest Davis, Joe Davis, Lester Davis, Carlene Womack, Willie Mae Curlee, Tina Davis, Glera Travis and Mildred Stem. 

A member of the Woodbury Church of Christ, she was a homemaker. 

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating.  Interment will follow in the Thyatira Cemetery.   

Visitation with the family will be from 2 pm until 4 pm Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014.   

Ms. Holt was a great encourager of the Short Mtn. Bible Camp, so for those wishing to do so please make donations in her memory.
