Webb Welcomes Visitors To Campus Feb. 21

On Monday, Feb. 21, The Webb School will open its campus for prospective students and their families for its annual Visitors’ Day.

The daylong event begins at 9 a.m. with registration and breakfast and concludes at 3 p.m. with individual student interviews.

The schedule includes campus tours, class visits for prospective students, informational panels for parents, lunch, as well as details on boarding, admissions, financial aid and academic programs.

“Families will spend valuable time interacting with current students, faculty and current parents,” said Matt Anderson, Director of Operations in Admissions. “This event, more than any other, gives them the opportunity to truly see what it’s like to be a student at Webb.”
According to Anderson, February is a great time to visit Webb, as the school’s priority registration date is March 1. And, because Feb. 21 is a national holiday, Presidents’ Day, students enrolled in public schools should have the day off and be able to attend with their parents.

Last year the February Visitors’ Day hosted approximately 40 students and their families.

As a preview to the February event, students and families can meet with a representative from The Webb School Admissions Office at the Barnes and Noble at The Avenue in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Avenue is located at 2615 Medical Center Parkway. A representative will be available to answer questions about Webb from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12; from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13; and from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14.

The Webb School is an independent college preparatory school for grades 6-12. The oldest continuously operating private school of its kind in the South, the school is known for its dual emphasis on academic excellence and character development.
