Heavy rainfall over the last few days has caused the East Fork of the Stones River to overflow its banks in several places around Woodbury, and forced some road closers.

Nearly three inches of rain has soak Cannon County since the beginning of the new year, and more precipitation is expected in the coming days.

This Afternoon: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 61. West southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. West southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday: A slight chance of rain showers before 4pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Windy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to between 20 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday Night: A slight chance of flurries. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. West wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 41. West northwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

One road that is closed is Cross the River Drive between John Bragg Highway and Murfreesboro Road just west of the Arts Center.
