Voting Begins At Election Office

It’s decision time in Tennessee.

Early Voting began today at 9:30 a.m. for the March 6 Presidential Primary and the County Republican Primary.

Early Voting, which lasts until Feb. 28, is held at the Cannon County Election Commission Office in the Adams Office Building at 301 West Main St., Room #244, (Tatum Street Entrance).

Times the office is open for Early Voting are 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays through Feb. 28, with the exception of Feb. 23, when it will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The office will also be open for Early Voting on two Saturdays, Feb. 18 and Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. until 12 Noon.

The last day to register to vote in the March primaries is Feb. 6.

Poll workers are available throughout the entire voting process to assist those with any questions or problems. The average time it takes to sign in and vote is less than 10 minutes depending upon the number of people in line at the time.

Voters are required to produce two forms of identification when voting in person, one being their Voter Registration Card and the other an approved form of photo ID.
