Violation Of Probation Arrests Total 266



Over 1,300 people were booked into the Cannon County Jail during 2009, according to statistics compiled by Cannon County Sheriff's Department.

The largest number of arrests were for violation of probation, totaling 266.

There were a total of 85 arrests for DUI, 56 for driving on a revoked license and 42 for driving on a suspended license.

Failure to appear arrests were 71 during 2009, while 89 persons were charged with passing a worthless check.

Domestic assault arrests were 53.

In addition, for various drug-related offenses, there were over 130 arrests.
