Vern Vina Walker Smith, 82, of Woodbury passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 following an extended illness. She was a native of Reed, OK.

She is survived by her children: Carol Joyce Taylor of Woodbury, Eileen Smith of Centertown, David Edward (Vicky) Smith of Woodbury, Karen J. ("Billy" ) Bass of Burns, TN., Joella Smith King of Centertown; 13 Grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murrell Walker and Nina Pounds Klitzke; husband, Alvin Smith; son, Gary Smith; daughter, Vera Patterson; sons-in-law, Jimmy Taylor and Jeff King; 2 great grandchildren, Hannah Blanton and Jordan Smith; 2 sisters, Annette Smith and Lillian Maxwell.

Vern was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church and was a retired property manager. Most of all, she loved her children and being a mema to her grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3:30 pm Monday, October 19, 2015 at Sycamore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sycamore Baptist Church Building Fund.
