Van rolls into Woodbury home

Cattle Roundup
Auburntown residents Charles and Judy Luebbe reported cows in their yard. When the Luebbes arrived home on May 2 they discovered cattle had broken down their fence in the backyard and were eating their flowers. The cows were owned by neighbor Randall Taylor.

Simple Assault
Glenn Smotherman, 54, was charged with simple assault following a physical altercation with his brother over a bottle of vodka.

Trailer Stolen
Deputy Andrew Colwell received a report from Diana Mooneyham concerning the theft of a black, 5x8 utility trailer from Eugene Reed Road.


Van Rolls into Home
A Ford E350 box van rolled out of the driveway at 101 Cherokee Dr and crashed into a house across the street at 108 Cherokee causing significant damage. Deputy Josh Thomas reported that Regino Valdez was preparing to change the oil in the van when the vehicle rolled. His neighbor, Thelma Nixon, was outside and noticed Valdez working on the truck. She was turned away when the vehicle rolled and she heard the "bang, bang, bang" of the truck hitting her house.

DUI
Tonya McClure, 36, of McMinnville was tracked at 74 mph in a 55 mph zone in the East Side Community when apprehended by Sgt. Tracy Womack. McClure was charged with DUI. A hearing is set for June 7 in General Sessions Court.

Zachary Barrett was charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, following a traffic stop on Peeler Hill Road. A hearing is set for June 6 in General Sessions Court.

Thomas Eugene Ellis was charged with DUI by Patrolman Dustin Pack. A hearing is set for June 14 in General Sessions Court.

Josua Rhyan Cripps was charged with driving on a suspended license by Patrolman John Howse. A hearing is set for June 14 in General Sessions Court.

Georgia Lynn Lokey was charged with driving on a suspended license by Patrolman John Howse. A hearing is set for June 14 in General Sessions Court.
