United Way promotes healthy lifestyles



The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is partnering with Middle Tennessee State University and other local businesses to promote healthy habits in youth in Rutherford and Cannon Counties on Friday, Sept. 13.

The program consists of three different opportunities: refurbishing playgrounds, collecting healthy snacks, and volunteering to do activities with kids at United Way partner programs. 

The volunteering will take place on Sept. 13, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.Volunteers registered by Sept. 1 will receive a free t-shirt. All volunteers will be provided with a free lunch before they volunteer.
