Two-Vehicle Crash Claims Life Of Woodbury Man



A two-vehicle accident on Highway 70S claimed the life of a Woodbury man Monday afternoon.

Killed in the accident was Raymond K. Knox, Jr., 28, of Greenbriar St.

The driver of the other vehicle, James P. Hedge of Murfreesboro, was not injured, according to the report filed by troopers Tommy Cooper and Billy Prater of the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The THP report states Knox was traveling west on Hwy. 70S (John Bragg Hwy.) on a 2005 Suzuki GSX motorcycle at 2:05 p.m. Monday.

Hedge, driving a 2010 Tahoe SUV, came to a stop at Lassiter Road. Hedge was in the process of crossing John Bragg Hwy. when Knox's motorcycle hit the Tahoe in the left rear.

Hedge's Tahoe came to a rest facing east on John Bragg Hwy. Knox's motorcyle was caught under the front bumper.

Both vehicles caught fire.

No citations or charges are expected to be filed in connection with the accident, the THP report states.
