Two Get Lengthy Prison Sentences For Selling Drugs

Judge Don Ash presided over Cannon County Circuit Court on Friday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:

John Edward Cummings pled guilty to the charge of theft over $1,000.00 and sale of schedule 2 drugs. He was sentenced to a total of 9 years in prison He was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

Toni Cummings pled guilty to the charge of criminal attempt to sell schedule 2 drugs within 1,000 feet of a park. She was sentenced to 8 years in prison and ordered to serve her entire sentence.

Tony E. McNeely pled guilty to the charge of sale of a schedule 2 controlled substance. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison and fined $2,000.00. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation and paying the court costs.

Kimberly Bynum entered a conditional plea to the charge of two counts of sale of schedule 3 drugs. She was placed on probation for 4 years and ordered to pay a $4,000.00 fine.

Forrest Lee Reeder pled guilty to the charge of solicitation to tamper with evidence. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation and paying court costs.

Julie Davenport's petition for suspended sentence was partially granted. She was placed on probation for 3 years, ordered to serve 8 month and 2 days in jail, and she was required to pay the court costs.
