A man from Woodbury and a woman from Carthage were charged on March 19 with multiple drug-related offenses by a Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Timothy Wayne Mount, 804 Old Manchester Rd., Woodbury, and Dana Larga Thompson, 1342 N. Main St., Carthage, are both charged with possession of a Schedule II drug for resale, possession of a Schedule III drug for resale and possession of a Schedule VI drug for resale.
CCSD Deputy Eric Modd filed the charges following a traffic stop on John Bragg Highway. Mount and Thompson had in their possession a yellow Dollar General bag containing one bag of marijuana, two bags of crack cocaine, and a bag of Hydrocodones, along with sandwich bags and a set of digital scales.
Mount is also charged with two counts of illegal possession and/or fraudulent use of an EBT card which is allegedly used at Wal-Mart. Also in his possession was the receipt with the card number on it and the goods which were purchased.
Thompson was charged with violation of the financial responsibility law.
Mount’s bond was set at $20,000. Bond for Thompson was set at $15,000. Initial court date for both has been set for May 3.
