Two dead; Case still under investigation

WOODBURY - Two people have died, while another remains hospitalized after a weekend incident in Cannon County.

It happened Saturday on Choctaw Drive in Bradyville. Details are limited.

Officials initially said a man died from an apparent gunshot wound at the scene. Two women were also seriously injured with a different weapon.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the male victim has been identified as 42-year-old David Wooten.

The women, identified as 19-year-old Elizabeth Clement and 28-year-old Laura Jastre, were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Investigators said Clement succumbed to her injuries Sunday night.
