Two Charged With Animal Cruelty After Dog Dies

Two Woodbury residents are scheduled to appear in Cannon County General Sessions Court Nov. 9 to answer charges of cruelty to animals.

Arrested on Sept. 13 by Cannon County Sheriff's Dept. Deputy Anthony Young were Michael E. Howell Jr. and Jendee Lydia Howell, of 2784 Hollow Springs Rd.

Following an investigation, Deputy Young reported that the Howells "failed to provide necessary food, water and care for three dogs and one cat in their custody."

"This resulted in one of the dogs dying," Young reported.
