Mr. Truman Edward Brown, 80, of Auburntown died March 13, 2012 at his home. He was born in Cannon County on January 29, 1932. His parents were the late Willie Lee "Bill" Brown and Julie (Thomas) Brown. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ila Kay Rhoden; brothers, Sterling Brown and Willie Brown; sisters, Josie Ferrell, Virginia Vickers and Ruby Mears.
 
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wanda (Bratcher) Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Cheyrel & Doug Pursell of Auburntown; son-in-law, Joe Rhoden; grandchildren, Leslie Pursell, Robert & Jessica Rhoden and Jacob & Annette Pursell; also, one great granddaughter, Katlyn White.
 
Mr. Brown was a member of the Auburntown Church of Christ. He was devoted to his church and especially his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.  The U.S. Military Honor Guard will attend to present the flag.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Auburntown Church of Christ by contacting Smith Funeral Home.
 
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 11 AM until 8 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel with David Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Milton Cemetery.
