Today is Labor Day when I am writing this, and I've never been quite sure howto celebrate Labor Day. Do we celebrate all those who are laborers, were laborers, or those in just plain labor? Either way, I hope all of you who could....relaxed on your day off and enjoyed family with the beginning of our fall season.

Even tho, 90 degree weather was in the force, believe it or not....Fall is coming! If you really want to see something, come into the Trading Post and see our Halloween decorations and holiday items for sale! Yes, we actually are more decorated than the local Wally Mart if you can believe it. The reason for all that early décor, is that we have really big holiday fanatics at the Trading Post and they are true to their word when it comes to decorating early and enjoying it longer! Another reason for the early décor, is that we are promoting our upcoming Spooktacular Fest and Family Flea Market Day on Saturday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last year we celebrated with children's games, costumes and treats....but this year is the biggie with costume awards, all vendors in costumes, trunk or treat, huge flea market, crafts, home baked goods, mule wagon rides, music...... Lots of fun for all ages. So,please mark that on your calendars as the place to be October 11th.

If you wish to reserve you free flea market space call me, Savannah at 615-464-7824. We are in desperate need of pumpkins asap for our haystack display. Our crop was not the best this year due to our gardener who went through an illness and could not tend to our garden....so we are asking for help from those who have a few to spare. It would be deeply appreciated. Please call me Savannah at 615-464-7824. Thanks!

We are presently raffling off a brand new turkey fryer. One dollar per ticket and 5 dollars for 10. You can purchase them at the Trading Post. Winner will be announced on October 11th event, but you need not be present to win.
Uncle Festus is up to it again, and decided to skip his meds today and drive everybody crazy.....good grief, I hope he never does that one more time! Aunt Clara told me that other day that if you have a person who just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone and takes your money....you either married it or gave birth to it. Well, Clara, I guess you got it all figured out, Girl!

My Granny Ann is still a wild thing....some bit left over from her motorcycle days...decided to get her upper arm tattooed with the American flag. She figured if her upper arm was gonna flap, she might as well make patriotic use of it! Does this family of mine ever settle down? Yikes!

Well, Folks I am going to sign off for now...but remember what I always tell you about helping each other , keeping a smile on your face and loving your family. I'll chat with you next week and don't forget about my pumpkins!
Hugs, Savannah
