Beautiful day out today !! Like it when it cools off a little and not so humid. We live in such a beautiful area here in Tennessee and I feel so lucky to be part of it! The Short Mountain Trading Post is having their huge Family Fun Fest this Saturday.

When you read this article, it would have already happened, so I do hope that all of you had a chance to be there. We are expecting twice as many vendors as last time, including extra food specialties and
additional craft booths. Our next one is in October. More on that next article. For now, I am taking a deep breath and preparing for a very busy week-end!

Aunt Clara is a widow now for the past few years and is interested in finding a boyfriend to keep her company. I asked her how it was going and she said that she is so tired of hearing those three words from every fella she gets interested in. I said, well I'm thinking those three words when be a nice thing. She said, Not when the three words are: I'm still married! Cousin Bubba still likes to hang out at the local pub for hours on end. Sometimes he forgets where he is and falls asleep sitting on the bar stool. One time, he fell straight back in slow motion stool and all and hit the floor. The stool went with him, because he had his feet hooked into the bottom rim of it. Folks said it was the strangest thing they had ever seen. To top it off, Bubba kept sleeping! He usually has Uncle Clyde with him and he's no better. The last time I talked to Clyde, I asked him if he got home ok the other night. He said that he was almost home when some idiot stepped on his fingers! (Good Grief!) Well, Bubba has settled down regarding his pub partying because his wife hit him with a chair the last time he came home. I asked him: why did she hit you with a chair? And he said: 'Cause she couldn't lift the table! Now, that's got to be one interesting household there.....

Back to the Trading Post: remember that we do Buy, Sell and Trade. So, if you have any interesting items that you think are different and would work at the barn....bring them in! We are always open Thursday through Saturday from 10 to 5. If you need to get directions or have questions on merchandise we carry, call me Savannah at: #615-464-7824.
