Hello everyone!! My goodness, the weather has just been gorgeous! We had a wonderful time at the Short Mountain Trading Post with so many visitors.

A delightful couple came to see us all the way from Bulgaria. They spoke English with a mahvelous accent. They had a good time and purchased items that their friends and family would really find interesting and very different. We also sold Jai's gourd lamps, vintage pictures, pottery, cedar boxes, jewelry, jams...you name it! A great time for all!

Our barn cats, Weegie and Ecoute, entertain those who ventured up to the Loft. Anyone who dares pet Ecoute will not be too successful escaping from him. If you happen to stop petting him, he reaches out quickly and grabs your hand or pant leg as if to say, Hey...where are you going? That attention is great! Ya' gotta be quick to escape that kitty!

You Folks who haven't had a chance to visit us...please do so. It's a gorgeous country ride and makes for a lovely day at the Barn. We are presently open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 to 5! And, located at 8280 Short Mountain Highway toward Woodbury and next to the Short Mountain Distillery, which is also a terrific place to visit with free tours, moonshine demonstrations and historical tales and gift shop. Any further questions, please call Savannah at #615-464-7824.

Holy Cow....we are quite busy getting ready for our next BIG flea market THE JUNE BUG BLAST on Saturday June 7th from10 to 5. People are calling me (at number above) to reserve their FREE space.

All monies you make are yours. Lunch is also available. Chef JD and Buster Brad did a great job last time at the grill!! We have crafts, household goods, home décor, plants, baked goods, eggs, jams, pecans, tools, antiques and much more! Call today and reserve your spot. Otherwise, just plan on attending and mark your calendar for that special event at The Post. Still need folks to sign up for our Thursday Only Farmer's Market. Please call Savannah on that as well. No charge for space.

We have added more craftspeople and have room for several additional artists. Also, looking for unique furniture and vintage pieces. Come on in and share your skills and wonderful items with us.

I want to thank a very special young lady who certainly went out of her way this past Sunday. It was right after church as she was still dressed up and with heels on. She was kind enough to pull her car off the road and hike back to a large bundle of tree branches that had fallen off a truck in front of her. She hastily yanked it all off the road before any oncoming vehicles could hit it and damage the under carriage of their cars. I mean, that girl was running in those high heels and tugging away at that mess in her Sunday best! Bless her heart, as she certainly saved me from mishap. I never got her name, but I will never forget that good deed.

If possible, we all need to consider each other much more than we do. Make sure the loads on your trucks are secured, stop throwing garbage our your windows and littering our highways and lawns, keep the noise level down and For Pete's Sake stop dumping those poor little animals just because you can't handle them or take care of them anymore. Gosh, there is so much room for improvement in this world and it starts with each and every one of us. We only have one earth and one life to enjoy it.

As I write this article, Mother's Day is only a few days away. I hope all of you terrific gals had a wonderful relaxing time and your family took good care of YOU for a change!!

Hug each other for me.....
Chat with you soon,
Savannah
