Well, hello everyone! What a special day it is to welcome all of you to our Short Mountain Trading Post Chat column. In each column, you will read about what's happening in our neck of the woods. We look forward to hearing your comments, questions and news that "you" wish to add to our column. Contact me, Savannah at: 615-464-7824.

I always say: If the shoe fits, get one just like it! And, that's what it's all about. When the lights went out last week, I soon found out that a flashlight was a case for holding dead batteries. Just my luck.

Two weeks ago, I was invited to appear on DTC TV to tell everyone about all of the exciting upcoming events at the Short Mountain Trading Post. It went very well even tho for the most part, I was as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. It was certainly good that I did that appearance because we had a great turn out for our Christmas Extravaganza the following week. If any of you happened to have missed that, you definitely need to come in any Thursday, Friday or Saturday and experience our holiday decorations and terrific sales throughout our craft booths, midway and loft. We specialize in unique one-of-a-kind items that thrill those of all ages. By the way, we are always interested in meeting with craftspeople who seek booth space. Call me, Savannah, so we can make that happen.

Also, in the spring we will begin our Short Mountain Trading Post Farmer's Market. It will be open on Thursdays from 9 AM to 4 PM. Call and reserve you free spot NOW !!

At The Short Mountain Trading Post we believe that we all start somewhere, it's where we end up that counts. We invite ALL of you to be part of that ! For now, I will cut this short due to the fact that I am still trying to get my turkey " to give it up" for Thanksgiving dinner.

Remember to "Gobble till ya' Wobble" and be thankful for all we have in life. We look forward to you joining us at the Short Mountain Trading Post and adding to our column with your interesting facts of our local chaos !! Hugs for now, Savannah
