Tracy Announces Cannon County Chairman In Race for Congress



Senator Jim Tracy announced today that Charlie Bowman will Chair his efforts in Cannon County in his race for Congress.

“As a farmer and small business owner, Charlie knows that to fix America’s problems we need to get Back to Basics,” said Tracy. “Agriculture is a major issue in this district and I am grateful that Charlie will be joining my team in this race for Congress.”

Charlie Bowman was born and raised in Cannon County. Charlie graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Animal Science in 1981. Since then, Charlie has been a farmer and small business owner. Charlie serves on the Middle Tennessee Electric Co-Op Board and is a Deacon for Woodbury Church of Christ. Charlie has been married to his wife Cynthia for 24 years and has two children; Christopher and Sara.

Cannon County is the latest addition to the growing list of county leadership teams for Jim Tracy. The Tracy campaign previously announced its County Chair’s for Putnam County with Noble Cody and Scott Ebersole, DeKalb County with John Rose, Wilson County with Beth McCall, Macon County with Ronald Birdwell and Debbie Prock, and Marshall County with Bill Marsh.

Jim Tracy is small business owner, former teacher and coach, and former TSSAA & NCAA basketball referee. He has been married to his wife, Trena, for 33 years, and they have three sons. Jim and Trena live in Shelbyville and attend Fairlane Church of Christ, where Jim is an active member and Deacon. Jim is a 1978 graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Agriculture Education.
