In a joint project between the Town of Woodbury and the Woodbury Lions Club, the walking track at Dillon Park has had a major improvement.

Since being built in the 1990's, the southwest corner of the track has washed away whenever there was a major rainfall, requiring more gravel to be put down. With the improvements, that area now has concrete instead of gravel.

The Woodbury Lions Club and the Town of Woodbury have constantly improved Dillon Park since its inception in 1991. The improvements include the trees being planted in 1999, lights and benches in later years, and now the improved surface. The Woodbury Lions Club has paid for its portion of the improvements with money raised from the Lions Club Horse Show always held on the first Saturday in July.

Some other projects of the Lions Club benefitting the residents of Cannon County have been the playground at Brown Spurlock Park and the pavilion at the fairgrounds baseball fields. The Lions Club also sponsored the recent Christmas Parade in Woodbury.

Please remember the rules when using the Dillon Park track. There are no dogs allowed on the track and smoking is prohibited. With this new upgrade, the track will be ready for everyone's New Year's resolutions for more exercise.
