Three Participate In Hippology Contest

Three Participate In Hippology Contest

Cannon County 4-H was proud to have 3 participants compete at the Central Region 4-H Horse Hippology Contest held at Cumberland University.
Hippology is an activity that can enhance learning for 4-H members by letting them exhibit their knowledge and understanding of equine science and husbandry in a competitive setting.
This provides an opportunity to learn about the anatomy, physiology and health needs of horses. The participants study beyond the outer physical appearance of the horse and into the biological functions that enable the physical processes. The Tennessee 4-H Horse program offers many opportunities for 4-Her's through the 4-H Horse Program.
Congratulations to Katelin Coffey for placing 7
th high individual! Although only the top 10 high individuals are recognized, we are also proud of Eli and Emma Barrett for their hard work in preparing for the contest.
The Cannon County 4-H Horse Club has been working weekly to prepare for this contest as well as prepare for upcoming horse competitions.
Coach Shae Adams, parents and volunteers are truly appreciated for their commitment to the Cannon County 4-H Horse Club.
