Thief Rides Off With Saddle, Cowboy Hat



The Cannon County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a report of items taken from a unit at Higgins Mini Storage in Woodbury.

The complainant stated she visited her storage unit on March 26 and noticed the lock was missing. She said upon opening the door to the unit the lock was lying on the ground inside.

She said a Billy Cook Barrel Racing saddle and a Stetson hat were missing. The hat had been stored inside its original box, which was brown and white in color. The saddle is brown and has a red spot on the rear.

A reward is being offered for information related to the missing items. Call 615-584-0594.

• In an unrelated incident, CCSD Sgt. Randy Neal spoke with a man at the sheriff’s department on March 13 about stolen property. The man said he had been out of town and that he was called and told that someone may have broken into his house on Claude Wilcher Rd.

The victim stated that when he went to check he discovered that someone had broken into his house.

Missing items included a black Whirpool dishwasher, a black Whirlpool stove and two bathroom mirrors. Miscellaneous tools were also missing from an out building.

Total value of the missing items is estimated at $1,550.
