The Cannon County Lions and Lionettes will resume their basketball season tonight as they host the Dekalb County Tigers and Lady Tigers in Woodbury. The Lionettes are 5-8 having won two straight since the return of head coach Bud Brandon to the sideline. Dekalb has lost five in a row including a ten point loss to Warren County Tuesday. Both teams are 0-3 in District 8-AA play.
The Lions are coming off a win against Monterey and face their rivals looking for their second win in District 8-AA. Dekalb also wants to collect their second district win of the season but have lost three straight coming into tonight.
Tonight's games will tip off at 6:00 at Robert A. Harris gymnasium. Games will be broadcast on Facebook via Facebook live on our Facebook Page "Cannon Courier News and Events"
