The Borrowers, by Mary Norton, adapted for the stage by Charles Way will be on the Arts Center of Cannon County Stage Friday, May 10 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, May 11 at 2:00 PM.

Residing quietly beneath the floorboards are little people who live undetected in a secret world.

Arrietty is like any normal 14 year old yearning to experience the grown-up world.

Only difference? She's 4 inches tall and she and her tiny family lives beneath the floorboards. Find out what happens when she goes to "borrow" a few necessities and meets a human boy. This enchanting story by author Mary Norton was the basis for the 2012 Disney movie "The Secret World of Arrietty" and  enchants readers of all ages with tales of the ingenious family of "Borrowers," people barely six-inches high who own nothing, share freely and shamelessly borrow whatever they need from human beings.

Directed by Janine Morgan "The Borrowers" features Charlotte Myhre as Arrietty and Keegan Miller as The Boy.
