TDA has provided the following amendment to their pesticide rules and regulations.

Effective 4/7/2020, TDA has extended the certification period from June 30 to September 30, 2020 or 30 days from the end of the emergency declaration depending on which comes first. This amendment will allow private applicator who hold valid certification time to obtain their recertification. Basically, it extends the recertification date from June 30, to Sept. 30, 2020 or 30 days from the end of the emergency declaration depending on which comes first.

For Commercial applicators who have valid certification, they have until September 30, 2020 or 30 days from the end of the emergency declaration, depending on which comes first, to obtain all the required points for their certification to roll over into the new certification cycle. The amendment also deems General Pest and Rodent Control Licensees as licensed under Category 14 (Microbial pest control) for pesticide applications made for control of CoVid-19. (This means anyone applying products to control CoVid-19 must have the valid licenses and certifications).
