Take Black History Trivia Quiz At The Library

February is Black History month. Please come in to either the Adams Memorial Library or the Auburntown Branch Library to get a copy of the Black History Trivia Quiz. Test your skill at research and your knowledge with these 30 questions. Return the quiz to either library for scoring before February 24, 2010. Winners will be notified February 26.

Books newly arrived at the Auburntown Branch Library include (large print) Jance – Trial by fire; Patterson – Run for your life and (adult fiction) Feehan – Dark curse; Kellerman – Mercedes coffin; Kellerman – Kellerman – True detectives; Sefton – Fleece Navidad.

Did you know that the Auburntown Branch Library is in an old bank building? Visit this branch at 73 East Main Street in Auburntown and see for yourself. It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with additional hours of 9 a.m. to 12 noon on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.

Just a reminder, you still have time to get a free replacement card for a lost card or your first library card. After February 14, replacement cards will again cost $2, but first time patrons always get their first library card free.

Remember that as of February 14, you must have your own library card in good standing in order to check out materials from either branch or use the public Internet-connected computers.

Remember that we are still working hard to get everyone in Cannon County a library card. Please help us get the word out! We are up to 4158 registered borrowers and the total is still climbing!
