Super Villain: Man Caught With Herbal Incense



A Rutherford County man was charged with possessing synthetic marijuana recently by the Woodbury Police Dept.

Eddy Ray Young, Jr., 614 Elliott Dr., Murfreesboro, was charged with simple possession of a Schedule VI drug and possession of drug paraphernalia on Sept. 16 by Woodbury Police Sgt. Lowell Womack. Young allegedly has in his possession herbal incense (Exotica, Diesel XXX and Super Villain) and a pack of rolling papers. Release citations were issued. Initial court date is Oct. 11.

Other persons charged recently by the Woodbury Police include:

• Tiffany A. Carpenter, 7401 Lowe Rd., Murfreesboro, was charged with driving on a suspended license, third offense, on Sept. 22 by Woodbury Patrolman John Fesmire. Bond was set at $1,000. Initial court date is Nov. 15.

• Michael A. Parker, 6980 Halls Hill Pike, Milton, was charged with driving on a suspended license on Sept. 25 by Woodbury Patrolman Patrick Fann. Patrolman Fann stopped Parker after he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Auburntown Rd. and W. Main St. A release citation was issued on the DOSL charge and a warning was given for the stop sign violation. Initial court date is Nov. 15.

• Mark Allen King, 5853 Washington Boulevard, Murfreesboro, was charged with driving on a revoked license, violation of the opener container law and violation of the financial reponsibility law on Sept. 23 by Woodbury Police Sgt. Lowell Womack. King’s vehicle was stopped at the Tobacco Outlet on West Main St. Sgt. Womack detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from King. A check of his license reveal it was revoked for DUI.

An inventory search of King’s vehicle uncovered open and unopened 24-ounce cans of Budweiser. King’s vehicle was seized and towed by Pelham’s for storage and his license was seized for being revoked. Initial court date is Oct. 11.
