Our Summer Reading Program 2020 is happening! The program will run until July 25. This year we have packets full of activities to promote reading and discovery. The theme is "Your Story" and a big part of that is family history. We have family tree charts booklets, journals to collect fun facts about you, and time capsules that may be saved and shared with your family now or in the future. Each age group will have their own packets complete with age appropriate goals and incentives. We have our ever-popular bags to hand out and, this year, we introduce the brag tags.

Brag tags are earned by meeting personal reading goals, submitting "Your Story" essays, and submitting artwork. The focus this year is children creating and telling us their story through artwork, pictures, and/or writing about it. We are displaying brag tags and artwork, with permission, in our Brag Windows, which families can see from the parking lot. Join us and fill our windows!

Our typical Summer Reading Program has been modified. Unfortunately, at this time no live performances are planned. As soon as we are able, we will begin live programs again. We hope that you stop by the library, pick up a packet, and enjoy the reading material and crafts the staff have put together. We are excited to promote "Your Story" Summer Reading Program 2020 and hope to see you soon.

You may either sign up for the Summer Reading Program at the library or online. For more information, please call or stop by the library at 212 College St, Woodbury or check out our webpage AdamsMemorialLibrary.org Phone: 615-563-5861.

Many people have asked if the library is open or when will we re-open. The lobby of the library is open and has been since June 3 providing access to computers, copier/printer, faxing, tax forms, and staff. You may request books and DVDs by calling or stopping by. We have opened the library, including the aisle of books and DVDs, for those that will wear facemasks. Also, we will limit the total number of patrons browsing in the library at one time in order to maintain social distancing. We are asking for everyone to wear facemasks, use hand sanitizers, social distance the 6 feet, and limit your time in the library. Limiting your time to essential activities helps us keep the total number of patrons in the library to recommended levels. We appreciate your help and understanding as we maneuver through this difficult time. Thank you for your continued support of your library.
