Summer Reading continues at the library in June.
Thursday, June 16, brings fun and creativity to the library with the story Blue Bug Goes to the Library and a craft of painting a ladybug rock perfect for a Father's Day gift. Every dad wants a decorative paper weight for his desk. Paint your ladybug rock to look like a real ladybug or paint it to look like a robot or anything else you want. Come have fun Thursday, June 16 at 1 PM and create your special ladybug.
Thursday, June 23, the Summer Reading Program brings back a favorite: Mr. Bond the Science Guy. This year Mr. Bond is bringing the Science of Sports to the library with hand-eye coordination experiments, Bernoulli's principle, balancing miracles and much more. Mr. Bond always puts the fun into summer and into science. He and his amazing team of Mad Scientists will show you how science and sports work together in his amazing experiments. The first 75 kids to sign up will enjoy a special treat--the bouncy balls. Come to Adams Memorial Library at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, for a fun filled afternoon with Mr. Bond.
Thursday, June 30, the library has Dave Mitchell, an extraordinary ventriloquist and magician, coming to lead our Summer Reading Program event. You've never seen anything like this program which includes comedy, magic, ventriloquism, clowning, storytelling, and puppetry. Dave has something for everyone. He's like Tennessee weather--if you don't like what he's doing now, just wait a minute and he'll be doing something you enjoy. Don't miss this new program at the library on June 30, at 1 p.m.
Story Time is back for the summer at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays. By popular demand, story time continues during the summer at Adams Memorial Library. Meet downstairs in the Jennings Community Room with Miss Patti for craft time after an exciting story.
All Library Programs are free and big thank you to our generous Summer Reading Sponsors.
