Storms Causing Early Morning Havoc; CCDYA Games Postponed

Thunderstorms passing through Cannon County this morning are causing a mess. Trees and power lines are down, blocking roadways, particularly Highway 70 toward McMinnville.

Power has been intermittently disrupted, causing burglars alarms to activate. The National Weather Service is predicting the possibility of storms throughout the day, with winds gusts of up to 30 MPH and brief periods of heavy rain possible.

In addition, the stormy weather has forced the Cannon County Dixie Youth Association championship games scheduled for this morning to be rescheduled for Monday.
