Theft Under $500

Deputy Tonya Holland was dispatched to Bogard Road, Morrison, concerning a stolen Mauser rifle.

The missing rifle was last seen by its owner, Justin Bogard, approximately a month ago, Holland reported.

Investigator Chris Brown checked with Toliver's Pawn Shop in Manchester where a gun matching the missing one was found. The gun was sold to Toliver's by Derek Jay Aji, the victim's sister's fiancee.

Aji was subsequently charged with theft under $500 and was arrested by the Cannon County Sheriff's Office. A hearing is set for February 2 in General Sessions Court.


Burglary Reported

Deputy Michael Agee investigated a burglary on Auburntown Road. Jessa Wilson arrived home to find her front door kicked open. Taken were an Xbox 360, four Xbox games, Mossy Oak Hunting overalls and $500 in cash.


Criminal Trespassing

Dillon Houston Howell, 21, was charged with criminal trespassing. A hearing is set for February 2 in General Sessions Court.


Driving on a Revoked License

Carl Allen Young, 37, was charged with driving on a revoked license following a traffic stop on Charlie Pitts Road by Deputy Michael Agee. Young was also charged by warrant with domestic violence. A hearing is set for February 2 in General Sessions Court.


Driving on a Suspended License

Trevor Allen Lanphere, 33, was charged with driving on a suspended license following an accident where he drove his girlfriend's car in a ditch. Making the arrest was Deputy Josh Thomas.


Warrants Served

Andrew Michael Placek, violation of probation.

Catherine Marie Sherrell, capias.
