Memphis - The new exhibition Scenes of the Dinosaurs features life-like dinosaurs and their habitats open through Oct. 2 at the Pink Palace Family of Museums.

Nashville - The new permanent exhibition Vapor Vortex which features an 8-foot vapor tornado is now open at Adventure Science Center.

Statewide - Summer fun for kids, activities and workshops in fishing, archery, hiking and more can be found through July 24 at Bass Pro Shops throughout the state.

Nashville - The 5 Senses exhibition opens with exploration of the human senses through larger-than-life components at The Discovery Center.

Shiloh - The next Concert in the Park features Ruby Wilson and the National Park Service Centennial Band 5:30-8 p.m. CT at Shiloh National Military Park.

July 2-4

Cookeville - Red, White & Boom includes a free fireworks show, Slide CKVL, music and more in downtown Cookeville.

July 3

Chattanooga - The annual Peach Festival features candles, salsa, butter, soaps and more created with peaches at the Chattanooga Market.

Chattanooga - Pops on the River includes free music and fireworks beginning 8 p.m. ET at Coolidge Park.

Gatlinburg - Midnight Independence Day Parade is the "First July Fourth Parade of the Nation!" Festivities kick off at midnight ET July 3. Floats, balloons and marching bands pay tribute to our country.

July 4

Franklin - Thousands will converge to watch the city's free fireworks show and enjoy treats and live music beginning 6 p.m. at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm.

Nashville - Music City July 4th Spectacular is Nashville's largest one-day party and features live music, family activities, food and one of the nation's best fireworks displays.

Nashville - The Power of Pictures: Early Soviet Photography and Film closes at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

Shiloh - Cannon firing demonstrations to celebrate Independence Day take place 10 a.m. CT, 11:30 a.m. CT, 1 p.m. CT and 2:30 p.m. CT at Shiloh National Military Park.

July 6-30

Nashville - Work by artists Catherine Erb, Courtney J. Garrett, and Jack Spencer are on display the month of July with an opening 5-8 p.m. CT July 9 at David Lusk Gallery.

July 7

Kingsport - Matt Barr's show Lethal Garde has an opening reception 5-8 p.m. ET during the 1st Thursday Sip N' Stroll at the Art in the Heart Gallery in downtown Kingsport.

Memphis - Grammy-nominated songstress Brandy Clark performs 8 p.m. CT at the Halloran Centre at The Orpheum Theatre.

Murfreesboro - An attempt at the Guinness Book of World Record World's Largest Square Dance takes place beginning 6 p.m. at the Murfreesboro Plaza at the City Hall in downtown Murfreesboro.

Nashville - Enjoy music by the Vickie Vaughn Band while Puckett's Trolley and Jeni's Ice Cream food trucks are on site for First Thursday Nights in the Garden at Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.

July 8

Memphis - Watch a screening of the dark fantasy Pan's Labyrinth as part of the Summer Movie Series 7 p.m. CT at the Halloran Centre.

Nashville - Red, White & Zoo invites guests to wander zoo trails, enjoy food pairings with wine, live music, animal encounters and more at the Nashville Zoo.

Townsend - Enjoy bluegrass music from Early Morning Spring Dusters 7 p.m. ET at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center. Tickets are $8.

July 8-9

Murfreesboro - Uncle Dave Macon Days Old-Time Music Festival honors the memory of Uncle Dave Macon, one of the first Grand Ole Opry superstars, with music, arts and crafts, food, storytelling and competitions.

Ripley - The 33rd annual Lauderdale County Tomato Festival features live entertainment including music, dance, carnival rides, crafters, and more in downtown Ripley.

July 9

Memphis - Kids can meet Elsa and Anna, enjoy a mini performance, get an autograph, enjoy face painting, crafts and more for Frozen in July 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT at The Children's Museum of Memphis.

Murfreesboro - Explore the second home to Rachel Adaline Maney, the home that has strong ties to Oaklands Mansion 3-7 p.m. CT at 718 N. Maney Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.

White Bluff - White Bluff Pick 'N Picnic is the inaugural celebration of bringing musicians together for a record-setting, mass picking and singing of "Will the Circle be Unbroken" 10 a.m. CT at Bibb-White Bluff Civic Center. The event is free and open to the public.

July 9-10

Greeneville - Enjoy rock music by the Hillbilly Bad 8 p.m. ET July 9 and gospel music by Strong Ties and The Shepherd's Way Quartet 2 p.m. July 10 at The Capitol Theatre.

Jackson - Guys & Dolls is a musical about two gamblers who question their priorities when bets and love are at odds presented by the Jackson Theatre Guild at The Ned.

Nashville - Route 66 is performed through Aug. 21 at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre.

Paris - The Kentucky Lake Water Fun Run has boaters collect stamps at the area resorts for a chance to win $500 beginning at 10 a.m. CT at Paris Landing State Park.

Murfreesboro - Music, southern fried chicken and catfish, special tastings by Prichard's Distillery and tours of the Mansion take place as part of the July Jamboree 6:30 p.m. CT at Oaklands Mansion and Oaklands Park.

Nashville - Michael Franti & Spearhead bring the Soulrocker Tour with Marc Scibilia at War Memorial Auditorium.
