Stalker sentenced to 3 years probation

A man who was charged with stalking a female Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy and soliciting sex from a male juvenile was placed on probation for nearly 3 years on Thursday, Nov. 2 in Cannon County Circuit Court.
Ricky L. Denmark entered no contest pleas to charges of solicitation of a minor and to stalking. Judge David Bragg accepted the pleas and found Denmark guilty on both counts. He was given a 2-year suspended sentence for solicitation and an equal amount of time on probation. He will also be placed on the state's sex offender registry. Denmark received a suspended sentence for stalking of 11 months, 29 days. It will run consecutive to the sentence for solicitation. He must also pay the court costs in both cases and have no contact with the victims.
• Erica Cunningham was ordered to serve one year in jail for attempted second degree murder. Judge Bragg had previously sentenced Cunningham to 10 years following her guilty plea. She had applied for a suspended sentence. She was given credit for time served. Cunningham will be placed in state supervised probation for nine years following her release. She was also ordered to pay court costs and is to have no contact with the victim, Randall Rains.
• Steven D. Warren entered a no contest plea to possession of methamphetamine .5 grams or more for sale. Warren had six clear plastic bags containing meth when he was arrested on July 9 by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department. He was found guilty and ordered to serve 30 days in jail. He was given a 12-year suspended sentence to be served through community corrections. He was also fined $2,000 and ordered to pay court costs.
• Joe Pesci agreed to revocation for violation of probation. He was ordered to serve his original sentence of 11 months, 29 days.
• Kali Yuga pleaded guilty to theft under $1,000 and to possession of a firearm in public. In each case he was sentenced to serve 11 months, 29 days and to pay the court costs. He was given credit for time served. He must also forfeit any seized property. The sentences will run concurrent.
• Jason Wayne Arnold agreed to revocation for violation of probation. His was ordered to serve his original sentence of 3 years and given credit for time served. He is going to apply for recovery court.
• Georgette D. Gora pleaded guilty to DUI first offense. She was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for 11 months, 6 days. She served 23 days in jail. She was also fined $350, ordered to pay court costs and her driver's license was suspended for one year.
• Melissa Ann Luttrell agreed to revocation for violation of probation. She was ordered to serve her original sentence of 6 years, 11 months and 29 days. She was given credit for time served.
• Jordan B. Merriman agreed to revocation for violation of probation. His original probation period of 3 years was reinstated and he was released on time served. He must wear an electronic monitor for 6 months and will be on enhanced state probation for one year.
• Chelsea Smith agreed to revocation for violation of probation. Her original 4-year probation was reinstated and she was released on time served. In addition, her judicial diversion was terminated and she was ordered to pay fines totaling $4,000 and court costs.
• Dwayne Parker pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and Charles Parker pleaded guilty to facilitation of aggravated burglary. They had both been arrested on Oct. 23 by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department following several investigations that day into an automobile accident at Bailey Lane and Hollow Springs Road, a car fire on Locke Creek Rd. and a burglary at a home on Locke Creek Rd. Dwayne Parker was given a 10-year suspended sentence and was placed on state supervised probation for an equal amount of time. Charles Parker received a 4-year suspended sentence and an equal amount of time on state supervised probation. Both Parkers were ordered to pay restitution to the victim.
