Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Moss clocked a white Oldsmobile running 68 mph in a 55 zone on Jim Cummings Hwy. on April 22 at approximately 5 p.m.

Deputy Moss turned around and pursued the vehicle to a driveway on Simpson Road. The vehicle had pulled into the driveway of the residence and immediately started back out of the driveway. He stopped the vehicle while it was trying to pull back out onto Simpson Rd.

The vehicle was being driven by Bridgette Haley. Haley appeared to be very nervous and stated she was going to give someone $100 for paying her light bill. However, when asked, Haley said she did not have the money.

Deputy Moss had Haley step out of the vehicle, and when she did, he observed a clear plastic bag in her front pocket. Once removing the bag, Deputy Moss observed that it contained approximately 25 yellow pills believed to be Hydrocodones. Haley stated the pills were in fact Hydrocodones.

Haley was issued a warning ticket for speeding and a release citation for simple possession of Schedule III narcotics.
