Celebrating unique cuisine, this year's Southern Women's Show is bringing all the delicious reasons to love the South back to Nashville's Music City Center.

The four-day festival of food, fun, and fashion boasts celebrity cooks and celebrity guests including Country music artist, Kellie Pickler, and Dancing with the Stars Season 20 Winner, the Ukranian born heartthrob, Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Each day of the fest offers surprises, including Girls Night Out and Mother Daughter Day, and in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the show, every who is, or will turn 30 this year, attends for free!

Back by popular demand is the Taste of Home Cooking School featuring creative culinary expert Dana Elliot, (pictured). Guests will want to bring friends, family, neighbors and a spatula to join in at theMix 92.9 Cooking Stage to learn clever recipes that are perfect for every occasion and skill level and that can be made with readily available ingredients for memorable meals at home. Taste of Home Culinary Specialist Dana Elliott [pictured] began cooking at an early age and has fond memories of her Mom's homemade spaghetti and meatballs. She graduated from the Art Institute Fort Lauderdale with a degree in Culinary Management. She has instructed students on restaurant management and has been the recipient of the Outstanding Culinary Achievement Award. Audiences will find Dana and more celebrity chefs at the 2016 Southern Women's Show, April 14-17.

In addition to the Taste of Home Cooking Schools, the stage will be feature recognized chefs and local personalities just waiting to make your mouth water.

Come watch Executive Chef Thomas Cook share recipes that are sure to become Nashville's favorites at Trattoria Il Mulino.Cook attended the American Culinary Academy and has worked in nearly every food and beverage outlet. He spent the majority of his time in fine dining restaurants and joined the Union Station Hotel in December of 2005 as Executive Chef. Prime 108 opened in October of 2007 and was quickly recognized as one of Nashville's premier restaurants. During his tenure, Prime 108 received the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award. As the Executive Chef of Trattoria Il Mulion, Thomas will create Abruzzi Cuisine on the Mix 92.9 Cooking Stage on Friday at 2:30 pm. We will be joined by Holly Thompson from WSMV as his sous chef.

New this year will be Jar Wars. Do friends tell you that your pickles, jams or spaghetti sauce should be sold at the grocery store? You could be a contestant for Jar Wars, a canning competition TV pilot. Each day on the Mix 92.9 Cooking Stage, contestants will be able to showcase their product in front of experts. Contestants must be at least 18 years of age, and have an original recipe. For more details and to register, go to www.jarwars.tv.

Plus, enjoy tasty offerings from Pacific Foods, Community Coffee, Southern Peanut Growers, and a host of other yummy exhibitors. There will be hourly programs throughout the four days, so plan to bring your appetite.

There will be lots of new exhibitors plus the return of fan favorites like the Local 140 Firefighter Fashion Show which has raised thousands of dollars for Camp Phoenix, Box 55, and Fighters that Care (FTC)>

The 30th annual Southern Women's Show is all about great shopping, creative cooking ideas, healthy lifestyle tips, trendy fashion shows, and great celebrity guests. Plus, learn about travel destinations, home décor and improvement ideas, and business opportunities.
