The Historic Cannon County Chamber of Commerce kicks off the holiday season with two days of special shopping opportunities and other activities. The annual Cannon County Country Christmas takes place Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21. Woodbury’s historic square will be decked out for the holidays, and merchants will be offering refreshments to those who visit their stores. Parents will also get a chance for children to talk with and have their photos made with Santa Claus.

Santa Claus arrives on the square in Woodbury at 5:00pm Friday afternoon and will pose for photos with children during the evening and on Saturday. Merchants will be open extended hours for the convenience of shoppers, and will be providing refreshments to those who visit their stores.

After his arrival Friday afternoon, Santa will move to the offices of the Cannon Courier (on the public square), and will pose for photos with children from 5:30pm until 8:00pm. Holiday photo packages will be available for just $10.00. Parents can register their children to win a bag of toys being given away by the Chamber of Commerce.

Santa returns to the town square on Saturday for several special events, including more holiday shopping, the Push, Pull or Pedal Children’s Parade around the square, and the Lions Stride for Diabetes Walk.
