Reward Offered For Information About Apparent Dog Poisonings



CCSO Incident Reports for April 21, 2010

Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Anthony Young spoke with Anna Pittman on April 13, 2010 regarding some dogs in her neighborhood who might have been poisoned. Three dogs in the area showed similar symptoms and all had gone to the spring on Hopewell as if looking for water. Ms. Pittman found one of the dogs on Easter morning seizing and she returned it to its owners, the dog died later that day. Pittman sent a letter to all area residents offering a $500 reward for information about the poisonings.

Marijo Martinrez served a warrant on James J. Ingram for violation of probation at the CCSO on April 1, 2010.

Deputy Randy Neal took a theft report from James Mitchell of Ivy Bluff Auto Salvage on April 14, 2010. Four wheels had been stolen from a GMC Suburban around April 7. Only three of the 15", five lug, black and chrome wheels had tires.

Lt. Brad Hall spoke with Terry Burger at 95 Martin Drive about riding his fourwheeler in the road on April 14, 2010.

Deputy Randy Neal went to 1695 Iconium to serve a warrant on Corey McNeese on April 14, 2010. McNesse came into the CCSO and was served with a warrant for violation of probation.

Deputies Patrick Fann and Eric Moss went to 5688 Dickens Hill Road and took Magnolia Stevens into custody on a violation of probation warrant out of Rutherford Co. She was taken to the county line and handed over to Rutherford officials.

Deputies Patrick Fann and Eric Moss responded to a fight at 1983 Lassiter Road on April 14, 2010. Dustin Reed was charged with domestic assault.

Deputy Eric Moss was dispatched to Hwy. 53 Market on April 14, 2010 in response to a prowler. Dustin Stoetzel reported hearing someone running through his yard and his dog going after him, neighbor Rebecca Bowman reported hearing her door knob turn and when she flipped on the light saw the figure run toward the Market. An extra patrol was set up for two weeks.

Deputy Patrick Fann approached a stopped vehicle on Jimtown Rd. on April 15, 2010. Inside was Brandon Thomas who seemed out of it but did not smell of alcohol. Deputy Eric Moss arrived and the vehicle was searched, which turned up a pill bottle with various pills, Thomas said one was a muscle relaxer. He was arrested for possession and Deputy Moss waited for the vehicle's owner to arrive.

Deputy Reed Bryson responded to a vehicle fire at Parsley's Market on April 15, 2010. Elvin Holt reported that he was inside eating when someone came into the store and said the car was on fire. Holt did not have insurance on the car and it was taken for scrap.

Lt. Brad Hall and Deputy Randy Neal arrested Joe Robert Mooneyham on April 15, 2010 for an active child support warrant in Rutherford Co after a routine traffic stop.

Deputy Reed Bryson mediated a dispute on April 15, 2010 between Tom Fuhrman and Johnny Nichols regarding some logging Nichols had done on Fuhrman's property. Bryson advised all parties that this was a civil case after attempting to reach an agreement.

Deputy Anthony Young went to 6216 Dug Hollow Road for a Medic Alert Call on April 16, 2010. The Cannon County Ambulance Service were unable to find lot 7 and Young assisted them in finding and checking out the lot but they were unable to find the subject, Arnold Andrus.

Deputy Brandon Mimms mediated a dispute on April 16, 2010 between Ronald Hayes and Glenna Robinson about Robinson being behind on her rent and having five dogs in the house. All parties agreed to allowing Ms. Robinson to collect her things and leave while Deputy Mimms was there.

Deputy Brandon Mimms went to 53 North and Stones River Road for a horse in the road on April 16, 2010. Mimms took the horse to 1300 Gassway Rd. and put it in the front field.

Deputy Anthony Young took a theft report from Kenneth Jernigan of Cunningham Road on April 17, 2010. Jernigan stated that on April 16 someone had stolen his Parmark fence charger box.

Deputy Matthew Parsley took a report on April 16, 2010 from Rita Clouse, whose fence at Lockes Creek Road had been vandalized. A neighbor had seen Mr. Bob Toddy and Mrs. Toddy removing the fence. Toddy had also met Clouse and others in the road and shouted loudly at them about the fence and the property. Clouse was advised of her rights.

Daniel Preston served James E. Rollins with a violation of probation warrant at the CCSO on April 8, 2010.

Daniel Preston served Michael Shane Smotherman with a theft over $1000 warrant at the CCSO on April 13, 2010.

Daniel Preston served Cameron Deffendoll with a violation of probation warrant at the CCSO on April 8, 2010.

Deputy Brandon Mimms took a report from Ms. Elkins at the CCSO on April 18, 2010 regarding vandalism to her security system. Someone cut her security system and tried to enter a window. Extra patrols were established for the residence.

Deputy Reed Bryson took a report of mail box vandalism at 902 Sunny Slope Rd. on April 19, 2010.

Deputy Randy Neal responded to a possible drunk driver at Hwy. 53 Market on April 19, 2010. Neal made contact with the vehicle and the driver Amber Clayborn performed sobriety tests satisfactorily. However, she was found to have active warrants out on DeKalb and was taken into custody.

Mark Thomas served a warrant on Kimberly Moore for failure to appear on April 19, 2010 at the CCSO.

Mark Thomas served a warrant on Donnie Stevens for worthless checks on April 19, 2010 at the CCSO.

Deputy Reed Bryson took a report of dogs at large on April 20, 2010 from Billy George.

Lt. Brad Hall went to 7584 Bradyville Pike in Rutherford Co on April 20, 2010 and arrested Aubrey Sanders an a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to the CCSo and booked in.
